Mowbray Sales Director (Northern Region) Mark Davison has established a long-standing relationship with the leading international broker of used photocopiers, printers and multifunction devices, supporting operation expansion with the addition of several mezzanine floors.
In collaboration with Trade Copiers Managing Director Stephen Armistead, Mowbray developed a design to extend an existing 4,200 sq feet mezzanine across the only ‘fresh air’ space remaining within the warehouse.
Critical to the works was maintaining as much openness as possible beneath the mezzanine floor for forklift access and, with the space to be utilised for storage of high value goods, product security was a priority.
The new 2,500 sq feet floor space was matched exactly to the existing mezzanine height, with a state-of-the-art guardrail system installed incorporating a handrail and steel mesh panels. A steel mesh door with secure access and push pad exit was also fitted.
Mowbray managed all building regulations, risk assessments, method statements and health and safety throughout the three-week project.
"After another year of growth, our business quickly found itself running out of space in our main processing warehouse.
"We contacted Mowbray to explain the situation and Mark acted swiftly to get a proposal to us.
"He knows the business and our specific requirements well, so we trusted him to find a solution that would work.
"Once we agreed to go ahead, Mark and his team took control, project managed the whole installation and competed ahead of schedule."
From concept to completion, Mowbray managed the entire turnkey project, completing ahead of schedule and to budget, without any disruption to Trade Copiers’ operations.
